How SCAMMERS work or operate!!!!

How scammers work

SCAMMERS (hereby refereed to as HE) are internet fraud, social media freaks aiming to drain you of your hard earned money with their tricks and sweet mouth.

These guys are very crafty and skillful, they have lots of ways and methods to get you down, you just have to know the ways to detect if the one you are actually chatting with is real or fake. In this article, I will give you full tutorial on how scammers work, how to identify one, the methods they use and how to make them confess they are scammers.

NB: How they operate, how to identify one and how to make them confess might be together in one topic as we write along.

Let get going guys.

1.    How Scammers work - Binomo or Flip Cash Investment.

Mostly they used social medias, create a Twitter, Facebook or Instagram account claiming to be an Investment firm or trading company. They mostly use Flip Cash or Binomo investment nailing their company on trading, flipping cash (I don't know where they got that English from), or use a company not that recognized in Nigeria, but all central on you donating some amount of money (rating from five thousand Nigeria Naira upward) and you gain double back within 45 minutes or 2 hours and above.

They come telling you to invest with them and claim they will trade with the money you sent and give you back double within 45 minutes. Sometimes, they hack your friends account and chat with you as if he/she is the one talking to you. In this case, call your friend and confirm if he/she is the one chatting with you.

Things to Note (how to identify one):
  • They chat you first.
  • Asked you if you know about so so investment or company.
  • They would explain how it works for you and why you should try it.
  • They send account details not matching the business name.
  • If they hack your friends account or chat with you with that social media account, the bank account details they send would not match your friends own. Or, they use your friends account to refer you to a Mr something claiming he is the admin of the business.
Below pictures shows chat between one of those scammers and I that occurred on Twitter;

HE then introduce the business to you.

And tell you about the plans they offer.

Do as if you are interested and never give them your contact unless they chat you directly through WhatsApp;

Try and observe and ask questions, I mean lots of irritating questions. Just imagine his name is Mark Otasowie and his account details is reading Success Osamende, isn't that obvious

Like I say, ask questions, imagine a company account using Savings!! Isn't this a clear scam??

When you see chats like this, just play along and have fun wasting his/her time, threaten him/her if possible and that's how to make them bring themselves out.

In summary, no investment will give you double of your capital in 45 minutes, its a pure scam. Here is my tweet about this same scamming method;

2.    How Scammers work - Petty HE (recharge card hunters)

These guys are the funniest you could ever meet or chat with on Social Media (SM). I really not need to write about this because it's obvious if you are sharp enough you would recognize you are chatting with HE.

In my experience with one, someone from US sending me a Nigerian number to send card to, isn't that funny enough?? Below is our chat;
I actually want to form a good guy but like seriously, I have nothing on me that day until the chat continues further;
She is chatting from US, there is no way I can send her money, so, I try to clear her;
A US based with a Nigerian number, isn't that obvious and funny?? I forced her (maybe him) to talk and HE exposed himself/herself;
That's exactly how to make them expose themselves;
  • Play along.
  • When you sight one, use threatening or abusive words.
  • If it's HE, they don't have patience, HE will abuse you back because they have others to hunt, wasting their time is very painful.

3.    How Scammers work -  Fixed match crooks.

These guys comprises of experts in Photoshop, they edit wining tickets with lucrative amounts of money to excite you to paying them for their matches (ranges from 2k Naira and above, some actually places their prices at 10k and above). Some of these guys are actually real, but 99.98% are fake.

How do you know fake?
  • They have fixed match everyday of which we know what it takes to fixed a football match and the risk if you are caught.
  • They posted booked games showing only the teams and the total odds (some even cover the teams and show the odds and options selected).
  • They don't mostly post played ticket, it's mostly booked ticket.
  • They posted winning proves with no Ticket ID for you to confirm yourself using the website claiming they don't want people to use their tickets to scam others.
  • If they post the Ticket ID, it will be from a bookmaker that you can't actually check if the ticket is real.
  • If he is a foreigner or uses foreign number, they always have agents in your country and would never allow you to use PayPal or other method unless from the agents in your country (mostly Nigerians).
  • They mostly uses Telegram.
  • If he offers account management (that shit is fake).
  • If he tells you to fund your betting account and give him the password (especially Sportybet accounts, just change your password to one not associated to any of your account, remove any ATM cards you have attached to the account and remove any bank details there) you can then dash him the account. If he/she complains, that is HE, change to your normal password and continue using your account.
  • If he offers Pay After Winning, that is HE.

4.    How Scammers work - Ponsi Scheme (social media marketing)

This has to deal with those websites that require you to upgrade to premium by paying some amount of money (mostly N 1,300), these websites include the likes of NNU, Blog9ja, GoCash and others. These websites are actually real and paying at the start to gain more people to register but when they accumulate enough money from people that upgrade, they stop paying.

My advice is, do it when it is first launched, you will be paid. Don't go there late as you might not be paid. And don't do this type of shit if you don't plan to loose your money.

Here are the most used ways to scam people this days, if I notice new ways, I will update this article or make a continuing one.
